Christmas 6

Since snippets usually are my purview, I (Una that is) asked Jen to let me post the Christmas snippet this year. On this Christmas Day, I wish to treat you with a poem from a novella by Louisa May Alcott, A Christmas Dream and How it Came True.

From our happy homeChristmas
Through the world we roam
One week in all the year,
Making winter spring
With the joy we bring
For Christmas-tide is here.

Now the eastern starChristmas 3
Shines from afar
To light the poorest home;
Hearts warmer grow,
Gifts freely flow,
For Christmas-tide has come.

Now gay trees riseChristmas 4
Before young eyes,
Abloom with tempting cheer;
Blithe voices sing,
And blithe bells ring,
For Christmas-tide is here.

Oh, happy chime,
Oh, blessed time,
That draws us all so near!
“Welcome, dear day,”
All creatures say,
For Christmas-tide is here.

On behalf of Jen, Ang, B, Gikany, Nima, Vampbard and myself (Una) we wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!  We wish you all the best of this wonderful season!!
