The holidays wouldn’t be a magical for me without holiday music.
Actually, I can’t live without music in my everyday life but at the holidays, there’s a whole new playlist.
As much as I love a good Mitch Miller carol, I’m a rock girl. Which is why my newest release, Strings Attached, features rock stars. Baz Valenti is the lead guitarist for Baseline Sins. After an accidental overdose a year ago, he and his band haven’t performed together. He’s been writing music for movies but he misses his band. He’s ready to get back to his rock roots. He just doesn’t know how to find his way back to his bandmates.
Music has always been the driving force in Baz’s life. And it wouldn’t be Christmas without some good rock songs.
So what’s on Baz’s playlist at Christmas?
12. “Yule Shoot Yer Eye Out,” Fall Out Boy
11. “The Christmas Song,” New Found Glory
10. “Father Christmas,” The Kinks
9. “Please Come Home For Christmas,” The Eagles
8. “Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth,” David Bowie and Bing Crosby
7. “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” My Chemical Romance
6. “Merry Christmas From the Family,” Robert Earl Keen
5. “Please Come Home For Christmas,” Bon Jovi
4. “Last Christmas,” Jimmy Eat World (Wham! Cover)
3. “Fool’s Christmas,” All Time Low
2. “Do They Know It’s Christmas Time,” Band-Aid
1. “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” Bruce Springsteen
On the surface, Sebastian “Baz” Valenti is a rock god with the lifestyle to match. With his drop-dead gorgeous looks and his band, Baseline Sins, at the top of the charts, he can have any woman he wants. But the constant touring and recording has taken its toll. Now he’s turned to scoring films, a gig that has introduced him to the one woman he really wants but can’t have…
Trudeau Morrison is all business all the time. As the managing director of ManDown Films, it’s her job to keep Baz focused on business too. It’s not an easy task, considering Baz has made no secret of his desire for her. But Tru doesn’t want to get involved with a rock star, even if he is the hottest man she’s ever met.
Trouble is, once Baz gets an erotic taste of Tru, he’s not going to give her up. Now he just has to show her that rock-steady is nothing compared to rock and roll…
