My Week:

Greetings from Daytona, Florida! I arrived Thursday afternoon to attend the Coastal Magic Convention. It’s my second year attending, and I love it! On my trip down, I walked for 30 minutes in the airport while waiting for my flight. And I’ll be getting up nice and early to walk with some of my fellow FitReaders! Of course, I’m eating and drinking WAY TOO MUCH! But it’s only a few days! Oh! and I walked over 3.1 miles on Monday, therefore earning my February 5k! Yea!!

My Movement*:
Friday: three hours downhill skiing, 10,032 steps/day
Saturday: one walk totaling 51 minutes, 10,945 steps/day
Sunday: one walk totaling 32 minutes, 10,037 steps/day
Monday: one walk totaling 70 minutes, 14,563 steps/day
Tuesday: two walks totaling 40 minutes, 10,967 steps/day
Wednesday: one walk totaling 14 minutes, 10,712 steps/day
Thursday: two walks totaling 42 minutes, 12,827 steps/day

* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.

So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit? Be sure to stop over at Felicia the Geeky Blogger blog to sign up for this month!

    • Thanks. Lots of fun, but I’m exhausted! Maybe next year?!

  • Nice job! How fun you got to work out and walk with some of the ladies while on vacation 😀 I’m still slowly increasing my steps and up to 5500 this week. Managed to hit the 5000 on all but one day for two weeks and that was a sick herd babe day where we were both recovering. Still a ways to go but happy with it 🙂

    • Thanks! The con was lots of fun and now I’m trying to recover. 🙂

That is great for you! Consistency is the key. Keep moving each and every day and you will continue to make progress. Great job!!
