My Week:

Hello all. Nothing much to report, other than it’s been more of the same. I’m doing my best to get out and walk – that part is going pretty good; usually meeting my step count 5-6 days of the week. But the eating isn’t better. I know when I put the food in my mouth it’s not helping, but I haven’t found motivation to stop myself. Until then, I’ll keep checking in and staying honest about the food.

My Movement*:
Friday: no exercise, 5,041 steps/day
Saturday: one walk totaling 30 minutes, 11,553 steps/day
Sunday: one walk totaling 31 minutes, 11,091 steps/day
Monday: one walk totaling 55 minutes, 12,504 steps/day
Tuesday: two walks totaling 24 minutes + 32 minutes elliptical, 10,390 steps/day
Wednesday: two walks totaling 58 minutes, 12,826 steps/day
Thursday: 52 minutes Body Flow + one walk totaling 34 minutes, 12,000+ steps/day

* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.

So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit? Be sure to stop over at Felicia the Geeky Blogger blog to sign up for this month!

  • Good week 🙂

    • I moved lots, but didn’t get anywhere.

  • Well done on the steps! Sometimes it’s really hard to be motivated to eat right. I’ve been struggling with that a lot lately. You’ll get back to it eventually! The important thing is you’re still active and getting in those walks. 🙂

    • Thanks! I’m staying stable, so at least it’s not going up!

  • Looks like you had a good week. I’ve been keeping my steps up. I’m excited because it looks like it won’t be much longer and I’ll be able to starting riding my horse again. Just depends on how much rain we get. I’m going to see how muddy it is this weekend, though I’m not holding my breath.

    • Yea for horses!! I know how much you love to ride.

You had a great week step-wise! I find that when I’m not being so good with food, I just try to make sure I’m drinking a ton of water…even more than normal to help balance it out. We all go through times when the eating just sucks…it will get better and that’s what’s great about this group – the motivation and support! Sending lots of hugs! xx

    • Thank you. Yes, our group is such a great support. I love that! I know I just have to stay accountable, and soon it will fall back into place.

Good job with your steps! I know it is hard to eat healthy. I have been struggling with my addiction to chocolate/sweets. I usually try to not have any in my apartment but I was bad at the grocery store. It is hard when those displays of Easter candy are right there in front of you! Even at the health food store I bought a bar of chocolate…

I hope you have a better week this week.

    • Thanks. I hope you resist the Easter Candy!
