My Week:

I’ve been home one week and doing okay. I’ve managed to get in a walk in each day, and hit my step counts. But I skipped Body Flow this week (first time I’ve been able to go in a month), and I have been binge eating Girl Scout cookies. I am going to blame some of this on the upsetting news I received on Wednesday, but it’s also just an excuse. I am feeling emotionally and mentally run down, and it’s too easy to slip back into bad habits. I need to be better to myself and not open another box of Do-si-dos. I did get in three 5k walks this week, so that is a win.

My Movement*:
Friday: one walk totaling 39 minutes, 10,189 steps/day
Saturday: one walk totaling 36 minutes, 10,826 steps/day
Sunday: one walk totaling 52 minutes – first virtual 5k of the month, 10,972 steps/day
Monday: one walk totaling 47 minutes, 11,771 steps/day
Tuesday: one walk totaling 46 minutes, 10,532 steps/day
Wednesday: one walk totaling 43 minutes, 12,220 steps/day
Thursday: one walk totaling 37 minutes, 11,500+ steps/day

* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.

So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit? Be sure to stop over at Felicia the Geeky Blogger blog to sign up for this month!

    • Nice! I have only been skiing twice this year. No snow!

  • I’m sorry your got some bad news that set you back. I hope everything is okay. You still did great with your steps, so don’t be too hard on yourself. You can get back on track when you’re ready!

    • Thanks. I’ve been consuming GS cookies but soon they’ll be gone, right?! LOL.

  • I’ve been horrible about doing my check-ins. I’ve gotten my 10,000+ steps per day for the past two weeks. Sorry about your bad news. I know that can really put a downer on things. {{hugs}}

    • Thanks for the hugs and support. Glad you are getting in your steps! Check in here or Felicia, FB or on your blog… you’re keeping up!

At least your are aware you are stress eating GS cookies. Sorry about your bad news.

I’ve added 30 minutes of stationary bike for the last two weeks, to shake things up, and it has helped.

    • That’s awesome! I am going to need to challenge myself this summer and try to shake up my routine. Maybe cycling?!

  • Kristin T.
