My Week:

More of the same. Up and down, up and down. Eating too much sugar and junk, but getting in steps. Weight fluctuating +/-2 pounds. I guess I’m okay with it since I’m not making any big changes.

At least this coming weekend is going to be slower than the past several. And the kids are on school break next week, so I’m hoping for some mental downtime, as long as they don’t kill one another.

I’m still hoping to get in a 10k this month.

My Movement*:
Friday: no exercise, 7,098 steps/day
Saturday: one walk totaling 20 minutes, 12,177 steps/day
Sunday: two walks totaling 44 minutes, 12,519 steps/day
Monday: one walk totaling 60 minutes, 15,192 steps/day
Tuesday: two walks totaling 62 minutes, 12,856 steps/day
Wednesday: two walks totaling 39 minutes, 10,871 steps/day
Thursday: 57 minutes Body Flow + one walk totaling 40 minutes, 10,000+ steps/day

* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.

  • I’ve been doing really well on steps this week, but eating too many sweets. I have no willpower. 🙁

    • I’m shoving a butter rum muffin in my mouth as I read this. *sigh*

  • It still looks like you are doing good! 10k? Go for it!

    • Thanks. The 10k distance is just outside my comfort zone. I can do between 4-5 miles without a problem, but committing to do that extra 1.5 miles or so seems so difficult. I did it in January and February, but missed it in March. I need to try and get it in this week over school vacation.

    That 10K is so daunting, isn’t it? I always put it off til the last moment! I’m hoping to get it in this week…we’ll see!!! I hope you have a nice quiet week…with lots of steps 🙂

    I had a great week step wise with 42k steps on Friday (I ran 2.5 miles & 7.8 miles). I did get 2 gym workouts in as well.

    Good luck with the kids not killing each other. 🙂
