Author Interview – Liz Fichera

Author Interview – Liz Fichera Today I have the honor of bringing to you author Liz Fichera. Liz is living in the Southwest by way of Chicago.  She likes to write stories about ordinary people who do extraordinary things, oftentimes against the backdrop of Native American legends. Many of her novels and short stories are set in the American Southwest.  Her path from hobby writer to published writer was neither easy nor quick.  From the time of her first story till publication of her first novel, she has worked as a woefully bad receptionist, teacher, technical writer, project manager, and IT Director for a Fortune 500 firm.  Please help me welcome Liz to That’s What I’m Talking About....

Sunday Snippets #20

Sunday Snippets #20 From Demon Night by Meljean Brook Two feet of bench seat was apparently nothing when a man had a reach as long as Ethan’s. His hands slid around her waist and he hauled her against him so quickly that she prepared herself for an onslaught on her mouth, but the first touch of his lips was soft and searching. That sweet heat slipped through her again, warming and melting her from the inside, leaving her skin hot and tight. He groaned, and it sounded like a denial, but then his big palm curved up from her stomach, and the light brush of his fingers over her breast was followed...

Life gets busy…

Life gets busy… So I just assumed that once summer got here, I’d finally have some free time to relax and read. Boy, was I ever wrong! I am busier now that when I was working and kids were in school.  But it’s all good. I get some time to read and write reviews here and there. I had the pleasure (and frustration) of redesigning my blog all by myself!  I do worry that my poor bloggy will start to fall apart since I’m not writing daily posts, but I know it will bounce back in time. This past week has been a very hectic one. Boy has camp and karate. Both...

Author Interview – Keta Diablo

Author Interview – Keta Diablo Today I have the honor of bringing to you author Keta Diablo. Keta lives in the Midwest portion of the country on six acres of beautiful woodland. Here, she communes with nature; eagles, owls and loons (the winged version). There’s a lovely environmental lake on her property named after a famous Native American chief, and the locals insist burial grounds from 150 years ago exist in her woods. Hmm. Maybe it’s not always the wind she hears howling at night. When Keta isn’t writing she loves to read and garden and spends far too much time at the local animal shelter trying to wrangle a way to adopt them...

Eyes snapping open, he started toward the direction he believed the sound had come from. Moonlight glistened, reflecting off the silvery waters of the bay. Something flapped again, louder and more insistent. He thought he heard a woman’s voice, cursing. Curious as to the cause of the disturbance, he hurried in the direction of the sounds. The western edge of the island faced the mainland, which became less and less clear as...
