Review: Marry in Scandal by Anne Gracie

Review: Marry in Scandal by Anne Gracie Marry in Scandal Author: Anne Gracie Reviewer: Ang Rating: A What I’m Talking About: Marry In Scandal is the second title in the Marriage of Convenience series, but it can picked up and read by itself without any issues. If you are familiar with the series, you will enjoy visiting with characters you’ve come to know. If you are new to them I think you will still likely enjoy spending time in their company. The main characters are Lily and Edward, who are forced into marriage after a kidnapping and rescue bring them together. But despite their lack of choice in the matter they are able to find love,...

Review: Marry in Haste by Anne Gracie

Review: Marry in Haste by Anne Gracie Marry in Haste Author: Anne Gracie Reviewer: Ang Rating: A- What I’m Talking About: I really enjoyed Marry in Haste. Cal and Emmaline are a good match even though they don’t realize it at first. Emm is spirited and strong. She knows when to fight a battle and when to let something slide, which is a must for a military man like Cal who is used to people jumping when he says jump. I appreciated the chemistry between the all the characters, and that as usual, Ms. Gracie doesn’t just throw sex in for the sake of sex. The scenes make sense to the novel and add to the plotline....

Review: The Summer Bride by Anne Gracie

Review: The Summer Bride by Anne Gracie The Summer Bride Author: Anne Gracie Reviewer: Ang Rating: A What I’m Talking About: I have loved the Chance Sisters series since I read The Autumn Bride in 2013, but of all the sisters, Daisy has always been my favorite. Her spunky candor, hard-working nature, tender heart, and lioness-like protectiveness of those she loves won me over the moment I met her. The Summer Bride did not disappoint in my memories of Daisy or in my getting to know Finn, who was able to meet Miss Daisy tit-for-tat and balanced her humor while teaching her that trust is not always misplaced and it’s never a mistake to love someone....

Review: The Spring Bride by Anne Gracie

Review: The Spring Bride by Anne Gracie The Spring Bride Author: Anne Gracie Reviewer: Ang Rating: A What I’m Talking About: Those that regularly read my reviews know that I am not new to Anne Gracie or the Chance Sisters series. After the second book in the series, The Autumn Bride, left we wanting, I am happy to report that was not the case with The Spring Bride. The warmth and banter that I have come to love from Ms. Gracie was back as Jane and Zachary get to know each other mainly through long walks around Berkeley Square. The inner struggles and unloading for life’s lessons and baggage was addressed and happily ever after was...

Review: The Winter Bride by Anne Gracie

Review: The Winter Bride by Anne Gracie The Winter Bride Author: Anne Gracie Reviewer: Ang Rating: B- What I’m Talking About: The Winter Bride is the second book in the Chance Sister series, and I was really looking forward to reading it. I enjoyed The Autumn Bride a great deal and was excited to learn more about the Chance Sisters, but unfortunately I was left wanting. This book had tons of potential but fell flat in my opinion. Both of the main characters, Freddy and Damaris have tons of internal conflict and heavy baggage from their past which would have made for fantastic internal dialogue or reflection, but instead we are given only snippets of their...
