I Wish…

I Wish… I got a wonderful birthday gift yesterday. My AMAZING, dear friend and follow book lover sent me a $30 gift certificate for Amazon. She knows I got a Kindle for my birthday (a couple months early *snicker*) and she wanted me to pick up something off my wish list. I *heart* her. She is a great lady, isn’t she? So that got me thinking about which books are my top priority. My friends on Twitter have given me several suggestions, and in some cases, ultimatums (yes, Queen B… I’m talking about you!) I thought about it and here are the top 3 series on my wish list: First up…...

Succubi Have All The Luck! Are you looking for something sexy and fun to read? Well, let me point you in the right direction… Meet new author, Jill Myles and her wonderful males: Noah and Zane. Together, they make my ideal book boyfriend! Jill Myles is the author of a great new series, The Succubus Diaries. The first book is Gentlemen Prefer Succubi. From Jill’s website: Jackie Brighton woke up in a dumpster this morning, and her day has only gotten weirder. What’s In Your Closet?

What’s In Your Closet? Last week I blogged about the books that were ready and waiting for me to read on my Kindle. Those books are on hold while I finish my paperback To Be Read (TBR) pile. And that pile is getting smaller. I keep MY books (aka smut books) in my closet. It started last year as a half a shelf. My first 2 series were Black Dagger Brotherhood by J. R. Ward and the Psy/Changling series by Nalini Singh. Both were only a few books (5-6) and so I didn’t have to move much around to accommodate. In addition, I had a few Buffy Season 8 and Angel After the...

Love at First Kindle…

Love at First Kindle… I love my Kindle! I’ll say it again, I LOVE my Kindle! Even with the big, SCARY mess that Amazon and MacMillan Publishing have gotten themselves into, I still have faith that my Kindle isn’t going to leave me anytime soon. Background Information: First about my book buying habits: I love to read book series. I’ll blog on my favorite series another time, but just know that I have at least a dozen paranormal romance series in paperback (I started reading/collecting the books in October 2008). I love to collect the books, referring to earlier books in the series, re-reading my favorites from time-to-time, etc. I am also very...

That Techno Beat…

That Techno Beat… Although I have been using a computer since the late 1980’s and I’ve owned an iPod for 4 years and an iPhone for the past 1.5 years… I’m not that knowledgeable in the techno world. I use Facebook. And I simply adore Twitter. In fact, I find myself trying to re-tweet Facebook status updates, only to remember, it’s not Twitter. I have met so many wonderful people via “on line social settings,” such as the Twilight Lexicon (http://www.twilightlexicon.com/) and Twitter. My family thinks it’s crazy that I’m “meeting” friends online. I try to tell them it’s not like I’m trying to pick up a date or meet for some...

What I’m Reading… Guardian Series By Meljean Brook

What I’m Reading… Guardian Series By Meljean Brook So right now I am reading Meljean Brook’s Guardian series. I am currently reading the 3rd book: Demon Night. From Meljean’s website: Charlie Newcomb worked hard to get her life back together. But all that is shaken when she’s set upon by three vampires desperate to transform her beauty into something evil. Because Charlie is the vital link to something they want—and need. It’s Charlie’s flesh and blood sister, a medical scientist whose knowledge could be invaluable to the predators. But to get to her, they must first get to Charlie, now under the intimate protection of Ethan McCabe. As her Guardian, Ethan is attracted to her vulnerabilities—as well...
