Today we are celebrating the release of the first-in-a-new-series title by Teresa D’Amario. Visions of Fire and Ice is the exciting new tale about an ancient race of aliens, Egyptian mythology, and true love.
About the Book:
Trapped on a planet not their own, the Petiri spend their lives hiding the natural gifts that set them apart from the world. They live long and unfulfilled lives, unable to find their soul mates on this backward planet known as Earth. That is until the night Ramose comes face to face with Tamara, a woman whose gifts rival his own. Determined to find why this human is in possession of an ancient magical Petiri relic, he arranges a meeting.
But Tamara, embittered from past events, is wary despite lifelong dreams of Ramose and a sure knowledge he is her soul mate. Before long the couple find themselves ensnared in a battle that has raged for millennia in Egypt’s desert. Set, Egyptian God of Chaos, is determined to take his just due: the throne of Osiris.
The only way to stop him is for Ramose to put his trust in Tamara, but, first, he must gain the same from her. The ensuing sensual relationship is filled with romance, lust and love. Their relationship is tested by an unnatural evil. Will her powers over fire, combined with his ice be enough to win the day? Or will the ancient gods and goddesses of Egypt destroy more than just their love?

About the Author:
Born in Atlanta, the daughter of an Army Soldier during the early stages of the Viet Nam war, Teresa spent her childhood traveling from state to state, finally ending up overseas in Germany where she graduated high school six months early.
Her writing career, however, began as a young Airman in the Air Force, writing monthly articles for the weekly base paper. The articles ranged from climatological data to full center fold articles on the destructive forces of hurricanes. As she increased in rank, her writing changed to more technological instruction, including such works as WSR-88D Doppler Radar Data Interpretation Guide for North Carolina Stations, and Station Operating Procedures.
But her early writing wasn’t limited only to the technological side. She’s written multiple dog training and behavior articles for canine websites such as Sonora Canine Freestyle, and also the Ask Blackjack column, a fun training column in the voice of my labrador retriever, then a young pup.

I never eat while I read. Don’t want to accidentally mess up the book.

I guess it would depend on the time of day, but sometimes I am eating lunch or dinner while reading and sometimes I am just snacking in the afternoon. Snacking might be popcorn, a veggie platter or 🙂 something sweet! Congrats on the release and I love the cover!! rana.adams@verizon.net
Fruit or chips usually.
I read during breaks at work, so usually pb&j… very carefully.
I’m the chips eater. I remember my first friend who got a kindle, she said the reason she liked it was she could eat and read at the same time.
I’m the same… now that I have my Kindle, I read on my lunch hour, when I’m dining alone, breakfast… I eat pretty much anything while reading!
I usually don’t eat, but when I do, it’s jelly bellies.
Some nuts and chips.
I’m a chocolate eater while reading. Combines my two favorite things to just melt all my stress away.
I eat pretzels..love the crunch! 🙂
I eat whatever I can. Lol I read constantly so I’m always eating while reading.
Any snack food will do !
What do I eat? It depend upon the time as I sit before my computer reading almost all day. So I eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I try to eat healthy as I am diabetic and have to watch what I eat but I have been known to throw in snacks like potato chips, pretzels and the like. Congrats on the new release Teresa.
Pretzels or M&Ms, thanks for sharing the great sounding book and awesome giveaway. evamillien at gmail dot com
I tried eating while I read but I got too absorbed with the story and the food got cold. I normally just drink soda, coffee, or water while reading.
Hmm, what don’t I eat when I read? Well, I guess I wouldn’t eat Cheetos or ribs.
LOL I have to admit, Sebella, this one made me laugh. Danielle, yours too. It’s “faze out time”, isn’t it? Love that. and Robbibirde, you have got to get yourself an ereader so you don’t have to read on the computer! Talk about back pain! I wish I had one to give you, but gave my older one to my MIL. Sorry about that – too late! If Visions does well, for the 2nd book I might give away an ereader, so keep tabs on me. 😀
[…] That’s What I’m Talking About […]
I usually don’t eat while I read or write unless my husband is away and then I often dine with my kindle. If I do snack it is probably cut up fruit or carrots.
I love a good cup of strong coffee in the early morning and a good book to read before the world wakes up.
Don’t eat when I read
Thanks for stopping in ladies,. I don’t always eat either, but if I do, it’s nuts, or maybe chips. Something that doesn’t get grease on my fingers, because I use the touch kindle.
I usually eat chips sometimes popcorn (plain)
If I ate every time I read, I’d be the size of a house 🙂
LOL Andrea, yeah, I know that feeling, which is why my snacks are so small when I read. LOL
