What I’m Talking About:
Nikita Tesoro and Kyle Beaudecker are two of Miami’s top bounty hunters. They’ve worked in the same circles and been associates for years, but Kyle has always wanted more. Now that the evil demon lord, Dantalion, has set his sights on Nikita, Kyle may have to reveal his hidden secret – that his is a human descended from the biblical Nephilim, and he has the power to control lightning.
Dangerous Angel is the fourth and final story in the Earth Angels series by Stacy Gail. While each story is a stand alone romance, the book concludes the over-arching plot that involves a demon who has been targeting the Nephilim descendants. For this reason, and the fact that this is an highly entertaining series, I suggest reading each story in order prior to picking up this title.
One thing I adored most is that Kyle and Nikita share an intense and immediate chemistry. They have known each other for a few years, and their shared history comes helps foster a more powerful relationship. Right from the start, their play is highly sensual and attractive. What makes their dynamic so explosive is that Kyle and Nikita both are full of pent-up passion, yet both keep their emotions under tight control. When they are together, they each tempt that control, and together they are an explosion ready to detonate. So hot!
Although I felt that the pair make a great couple, I had misgivings with a particular circumstance, which brought the pair together. NOTE: POTENTIAL SPOILERS IN THIS PARAGRAPH Kyle, determined to uncover information that Nikita was leery of sharing, uses sex to pry that information from her. By no means is it rape, but using Nikita’s own body’s sexual response to his touch, and then not telling her the truth right away, made me uneasy. I didn’t like the idea of mixing her horrible memories and mental/emotional anguish with sexual pleasure. At least once it is over, they discuss the fact that he shouldn’t have tortured her like that; however, the quasi apology rang hollow with me. It also frustrated me that I had to wait until the near conclusion of the book for Kyle to realize how much of a jerk he’s been. END OF POTENTIAL SPOILERS Unfortunately, I feel that these actions created some apathy towards the couple.
The mystery of where Dantalion would strike next and if he would be able to materialize in the human realm was pretty exciting. I enjoyed that the story brings together all of the characters from the previous stories. I liked seeing everyone together, and watching them try to figure out what was going on. The group makes for a good team and surrogate family. I would love to read a story about the gang set down the road, in the future. I also liked how the entire storyline played out, although I feel just a wee-bit cheated by how quickly the final battle concluded. (It’s more that I wasn’t ready for the book/series to end and wanted more!)
Overall, I found Dangerous Angel entertaining and enjoyable. I especially liked the plot, how it wrapped up the series, and how it brought together the Nephilim as a team. I loved Kyle and Nikita at the beginning, but I think Kyle’s actions in the middle of the book created an emotional detachment for me. It took me a while to once again feel a connection to the couple, but it was never as strong as it was in the start of the story. However, with that said, I still enjoyed the book and recommend the book and entire series to fans of paranormal romance.
My Rating: B, Liked It
About the Book:
Miami’s best bounty hunter, Nikita Tesoro will do anything to collar a fugitive. Including stepping into a stripper’s stilettos for the night. Outsmarting her rival Kyle Beaudecker is just a bonus. Despite the sexual tension sparking between them, Nikita keeps a professional distance from “Hurricane” Kyle. After all, she can’t get hurt if she doesn’t care.
A descendant of the archangel Barakiel with the power to harness electricity, Kyle should be focusing his energy on tracking down a demon that may be hiding in the human realm. But he’s a lover, not a fighter, and he’d much rather use his special talents for pleasure: specifically Nikita’s. And teaming up to find a bail jumper means spending lots of time together…
But when their case takes a turn for the demonic, Kyle can no longer hide his true nature from Nikita. He’ll do whatever it takes to win her heart—even stop the apocalypse. But he can’t do it alone.

I love being taken to a different place where you never know what will happen.
This sounds good! I think I might be concerned for the same reasons you were, but I love that these two seem to have such heat sparking between them. I also have a thing for angels, so that’s a bonus, too. Adding them to my TBR list!
I love that we get the sweet and sexy romance with the excitement of a supernatural twist. Anything goes and your imagination soars.
