It’s that time of year again. The time we all look back over the past year and take a look at our favorite reads. This year is a bit different for me because I started listening to audiobooks. Audiobooks are a very different experience, but an equally valid method of enjoying the written word. I included each audiobook in my overall “books read” count, but since pretty much all of the books were off my TBR and/or “re-reads,” of some of my favorite titles, I’ve decided to keep a separate “best of” list for the audiobooks.
As of today (December 23, 2014) I have completed 124 books, and I expect to finish at least one more before the end of the year. Of those books, 23 were strictly audiobooks, with an additional three books being a mix of audio and kindle. My goal was to read 100 books again in 2014, so I surpassed that goal, and I would have completed it even without the audiobooks. Without further ado, here are my favorites from 2014…

How did 2014 go for you? What were your favorite books? Did you discover a new-to-you author? Stop back on Saturday when I talk about all the fun stuff in store for 2015!
I did a 10 best books today, but I will not post it yet, I still have hope I will read an awesome book before the 31st 😉 hehe
Ha! I know what you mean. I made this list a while ago, and realized tonight I needed to add one I just read last week!
Great list. I l listened to Into the Shadows and really enjoyed it. I want to try Off the Edge sometime next year. I want to get Iron Seas on my TBR list soon.
Both great series!!
Black Widow made my list too. Go Gin!
*high fives*
All your audio choices I agree 🙂 🙂
Currently, I’m listening to Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews, narrated by Renee Raudman… That will probably also make the list. I enjoyed the book when I read it, but between the wonderful narration, and now knowing the direction of the book, the “re-read” as an audiobook is fabulous!
That was how I did Burn for Me too 🙂 I read it first (the arc) and then listened when it came out. Renee made an already freaking awesome book more awesomer (yes I made up a word) 🙂
Awesomer is sooo a word!
Love Lorelei King narrating as Charley Davidson. 🙂
I’ve heard great things. I’m really mad at the series right now, but I’ve heard Lorelei makes the books amazing.
Unfortunately, none of those books are on my “best” list. Although they are some spectacular authors!
Which books were on your list?
