Christmas Shopping List
Kate, Curran, and the rest are buying gifts for each other. Match the gifts with characters who would purchase them for their loved ones. Remember, you are not matching the character with the gift he or she would receive. You are matching them with the gift they would BUY for their loved one. So for example:
1. Honey
2. First Aid Kit
a. Doolittle
b. Kate
Doolittle would buy Kate a First Aid Kit, and Kate would buy Doolittle some honey. So the answers would be 1b and 2a.

About the Book:
Four masters of urban fantasy and paranormal romance plunge readers into the dangerous, captivating world unearthed beyond the dark…
New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh delivers a smoldering story with Secrets at Midnight, as the scent of Bastien Smith’s elusive lover ignites a possessiveness in him that’s as feral as it is ecstatic. And now that he’s found his mate, he’ll do anything to keep her.
In #1 New York Times bestselling author Ilona Andrews‘ novella, Magic Steals, when people start going missing, shapeshifting tigress Dali Harimau and jaguar shifter Jim Shrapshire must uncover the truth about the mysterious creatures responsible.
From Milla Vane—a warrior princess must tame The Beast of Blackmoor to earn a place among her people. But she quickly discovers that the beast isn’t a monster, but a barbarian warrior who intends to do some taming himself.
It’s seer Makenna Frazier’s first day on the job at Supernatural Protection and Investigations, and her first assignment is more than she bargained for when bodyguard duty for a leprechaun prince’s bachelor party goes every which way but right in national bestselling author Lisa Shearin’s Lucky Charms.

Now, head over the THE BOOK NYMPHO to see today’s feature with Jeaniene Frost.
I loved this audiobook, though I missed Renee Raudman reading Jim and Dali’s story. This was my favorite story in the book, though there wasn’t a bad story. I loved the shopping list match game of which I was horrible.

I’m not really sure what Ascanio would do with a bunnykitten (that’s what I was left with), but then I decided Julie would take it from him and they’d both be happy so it was okay. =)
Did you get mixed up? The answers are the GIVERS, NOT the recipients.
Yep, I absolutely did! That’s what I get for doing this kind of thing before caffeine… =) I should really know better. =)

Curran buys the donkey
Ascanio buys the bunny-kitten (for Julie)
Kate buys the weight bench
Niccolo and the tomahawks tripped me up…so maybe Derrick buys the tomahawks (I would also say for Julie but I think that is my wishful thinking) which leaves Dali buying Niccolo?
Andrea buys the business subscription
Raphael buys the gun and lingerie
Jim buys the journals
That was fun 🙂

I know that Raphael would give Andrea the gun in the lingerie; Ascanio would probably give Julie (or Kate) the bunnycat; Kate would probably give Curran the giant spotted donkey because he hates horses; Andrea would probably give Raphael the Business magazine and the knives since he’s trying to become a business man; Dali would probably give Jim the Machiavelli book and earplugs because he’s into spy stuff and manipulation – HOWEVER, I totally guessed on the others – what a terrific game!!!

It was tough, I did it wrong the first time making the mistake of matching the gift to the person. But I think I might have it, but the last match was Derek’s – seems like he was purchasing a gift for himself? We know Ascanio would by the bunny-cat for Julie but I never thought of her as a tomahawk girl, more of a staff type weapon. Guess this means I need to reread the series again. Oh bummer! (please note sarcasm).

I loved this anthology. Enjoyed all the stories. Can’t wait to see Jim and Dali as Beast Lord and Lady!
Tricky, especially re. the “boys”, but here goes…
1. f : Curran bought the donkey so Kate could keep it.
2. g : Ascanio (?) bought Julie one of the bunny-kittens she cooed over.
3. d : Kate bought the workout bench for Curran (buying herself some nice eye-candy, too). (??)
4. a : Dali bought Machiavelli tapes for new Beast Lord Jim (and earplugs for herself).
5. b : Derek bought tomahawks for Julie?? [because *he* thinks they’re excellent weapons to train in, and light enough]
6. c : Andrea bought the biz mag subscription & knives for Raphael.
7. h : Jim bought the old antiquarian/oriental journal for Dali.
8. e : … and obviously, Raphael bought the gun & lingerie for Andrea.
I didn’t peek at the answers, but I did glance at a few other comments to see how many entries agreed with me; however, basically, the only ones there was general agreement on, were the ones I already felt confident about!
