My Week:

This week has been a mixed bag for me. Life has been busy, both at home and work. My big project is coming up on deadlines, and I’ve been working late and on the weekends trying to get it all done. Good news is that after today, things won’t be nearly as crazy at work. At home, we have the usual craziness of spring sports and end-of-school. However, the Boy has a knee injury and BG has on-going medical issues that have me running all over to appointments. In the end, I missed meeting my step count on three days and didn’t get in my 30 minutes in on two days. BOO!


The wins for this week include: I did a walk/jog on Thursday – first time “running” since last fall for me. And, even though I was working late, I did take advantage of the nice weather one day and went for a short (1 mile) walk along this trail (photo, above), which is right next to my office. The trail was created on the site of a former railroad track and goes on for miles and miles. I may need to take time to hit this path more often!

My Movement:
Friday: 45 minutes walking, 10,388 steps
Saturday: none, 4,659 steps
Sunday: 39 minutes walking, 9,368 steps
Monday: 41 minutes walking, 11,794 steps
Tuesday: 42 minutes walking, 10,182 steps
Wednesday: 16 minutes walking, 7,618 steps
Thursday:  55 minutes BodyFlow + 65 minutes walking/jogging, 12,900 steps

    I’ve been bad the last week and half with not moving and eating poorly. But I’m back on the wagon and this is how I did (or will do) this week.

    May 10 – 16

    Sunday: Off Day
    Monday: PiYo – 40 minutes, 223 calories
    Tuesday: Elliptical – 25 minutes, 230 calories
    Wednesday: Off Day
    Thursday: Elliptical – 30 minutes, 305 calories | Zumba – 55 minutes, 556 calories
    Friday: Zumba Toning – 55 minutes, 556 calories (PLAN)
    Saturday: Step – 55 minutes, 487 calories (PLAN)

    Total minutes: 205
    Total calories: 2357

    I hope your son will recover soon with his knee injury :/
    It’s great you were able to jog this week.
    I had an alright week. I wish I could have done better, but school has been tiring me.

  3. That trail looks lovely and it’s handy that it’s so close to your workplace too. I’ve hit my goals of 10K steps (and more) this week apart from Thursday when I had a blister from walking in the wrong shoes on Wed! I’m so happy that I made the decision to buy a Fitbit, it really does make me want to do more!

    • Isn’t it amazing how those little things can motivate us! Glad you are doing well – watch the blisters. I was getting a lot last year. I switched shoes and socks, and now it’s much better.

    • LOL… I love that “exercised by mouth” Sounds like a fun weekend – and we all deserve those once and a while. Today starts a new week!

    • Yea! Sounds like you are doing awesome!! I allow myself one day off per week, but don’t specify, so I can be flexible. And I’ve also learned that if it ends up being more than one day, it’s okay! 😉

    the wedding/graduation/golf tourney is behind me! Woohoo!
    No coffee, adult beverages, or gym for 5 days almost drove me around the bend. At least the dogs were having fun and got to enjoy the earthquake. My nephew qualified for the Kansas 5A golf tourney. YAY! I did have my laptop but didn’t get it out. This is a first 🙂

    Today i am back on track and back at the gym and running. And my regular diet. I am ready for some sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts and for the fur kids to get home. Maggie was indecently excited to see the sitter last week, traitor.

    Your trail looks lovely. I am jealous.
