Welcome to #FitReaders!! Felicia the Geeky Blogger and I are super excited to be co-hosting this fitness-oriented group during 2015. For the months of July – September 2015, Felicia will be hosting the official check-ins. This is my weekly check-in post where I share about my week, and I hope you share about yours as well. You can also catch Felicia’s weekly check-in HERE.
If you have a weekly check-in blog post or put your updates on any social media site, please leave a link to your check-in posts in the comment section, below. Or, if you want to use this post as your weekly check-in, leave a comment telling us how your week went!
Thanks again to everyone who participated during here at That’s What I’m Talking About during April, May and June! Remember: starting July 1, 2015, the monthly commitment signups will be at Felicia the Geeky Blogger blog, but you can still check in here and share how you are doing every Friday!
My Week:
I’m on VACATION!! The family and I left early Saturday morning, spent two days in the car, and arrived at my folks in Northern Michigan on Sunday afternoon. They live on a lake, and there is lots to do, including exercise and eating! Monday morning my sister and mom took me on a 5.5 mile round trip walk that included 450 steps up a hill in the middle. My calves are still sore! Other than the day I was in the car from 6:00AM to 6:00PM, I have managed to get in a walk. (We won’t discuss what I’ve been eating!)
My Movement*:
Friday: 34 minutes walking, 12,726 steps/day
Saturday: no walks (in car), 5,680 steps/day
Sunday: 47 minutes walking, 11,813 steps/day
Monday: 90 minutes walking, 15,980 steps/day
Tuesday: 61 minutes walking, 11,367 steps/day
Wednesday: 41 minutes walking, 13,483 steps/day
Thursday: 54 minutes walking, 14,002 steps/day
* After a comment about my timed walking and the number of steps I record, I realized it might be confusing. I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included. I hope that clarifies my movement data.

It was a workout! The view from the top is so lovely!
Wow! You have done well. I’m guessing that what you ate was burned up with that hike. 🙂 WTG!
Thanks! So far I’m fairing pretty well with the calories in and out! Let’s hope I keep it up through next week!

That is awesome Sheree! I’m trying to keep up while on vacation. Some days are easier than others!!
I feel like such a slacker right now.
Great job!
