Welcome to #FitReaders!! Felicia the Geeky Blogger and I are super excited to be co-hosting this fitness-oriented group during 2015. For the months of July – September 2015, Felicia will be hosting the official check-ins. This is my weekly check-in post where I share about my week, and I hope you share about yours as well. You can also catch Felicia’s weekly check-in HERE.
If you have a weekly check-in blog post or put your updates on any social media site, please leave a link to your check-in posts in the comment section, below. Or, if you want to use this post as your weekly check-in, leave a comment telling us how your week went!
My Week:
We just had an unexpected, amazingly wonderful, vacation week. The kids and I headed to Cape Cod with cousins on Sunday morning and just got home late Thursday night, and we had such a blast. Beach. Star Gazing (meteor shower). Sand. Games. Ice Cream. Eating. I did get a few walks in, but my step count is WAY down for the week. And because I was away, I didn’t weigh in on Monday. I have a feeling that number will be up next week. No worries!
My Movement*:
Friday: 54 minutes walking, 10,400 steps/day
Saturday: 49 minutes walking, 11,880 steps/day
Sunday: no walking, 6,286 steps/day
Monday: 50 minutes walking, 10,827 steps/day
Tuesday: 51 minutes walking, 8,379 steps/day
Wednesday: 57 minutes walking, 15,883 steps/day
Thursday: no walking, 6,702 steps/day
* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.

How fun!! Sounds like a great week! 🙂
Thanks Brandie! We had a blast, regardless of my “fitness” efforts!
Good week 🙂
Thanks. I am kicking myself that I didn’t take photos… it was so lovely!
An unexpected vacation sounds fab! And your steps might be down on normal but they are still good!
Thanks! The trip was worth the reduced steps!
