Welcome to #FitReaders!! Felicia the Geeky Blogger and I are super excited to be co-hosting this fitness-oriented group during 2015. For the rest of 2015 (October – December), I will be hosting the official check-ins. This is my weekly check-in post where I share about my week, and I hope you share about yours as well.
If you have a weekly check-in blog post or put your updates on any social media site, please leave a link to your check-in posts in the comment section, below. Or, if you want to use this post as your weekly check-in, leave a comment telling us how your week went! (I only use the linky on the monthly commitment posts, for the weekly posts, I use the comments.)
My Week:

This was a fun week – with the Thanksgiving Holiday (U.S.) on Thursday, I only worked Monday and Tuesday. The kiddos were also off from school. Of course, this holiday is food-centric and I overate A LOT this week. I did get in my steps, so it mostly balanced out, with only a minor weight gain.
Did you go for a walk or exercise in any manner on Thanksgiving? If so, be sure to see the fun mini-challenge Felicia and I hosted. If you did you walk, check in there or here and download your badge to show off! Click the turkey badge for more information.
My Movement*:
Friday: one walk totaling 16 minutes, 11,307 steps/day
Saturday: one walk totaling 30 minutes, 11,425 steps/day
Sunday: one walk totaling 52 minutes, 11,857 steps/day
Monday: one walk totaling 40 minutes, 12,938 steps/day
Tuesday: three walks totaling 56 minutes, 12,759 steps/day
Wednesday: one walk totaling 48 minutes, 13,245 steps/day
Thursday: THANKSGIVING one walk totaling 67 minutes, 15,031 steps/day
* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.

Wow! Thanksgiving was your biggest day! Great week. I did pretty well this week as well. I wouldn’t have done anything yesterday without the FitReaders/StrutMyStuff push.
I know, right?! Today is yard work day, so should be a decent amount of steps again.
Sadly I wasn’t able to do much this week beside the thanksgiving walk yesterday and some yoga this morning but I had a high step count everyday because I was constantly on my feet moving.
Always moving makes a difference! Hopefully you can get in more yoga this week!
Great week! I loved the Thanksgiving challenge. Definitely helped motivate me. Now I’m participating in the Runner’s World challenge – from Thanksgiving to New Years the challenge is to run at least 1 mile a day. That’ll keep me on target and hopefully guilt free from all the holiday eating. 🙂 I over-indulged big time yesterday (and this morning), and I’m feeling the bloat. Need to get back on track.

WOW! What a huge challenge! Good luck!
Wow many steps and wonderful for Thanksgiving day. I had a good week and was happy to meet my goal. Checking In for End of November
Thanks. It was a crazy couple of days and now I’m vegging big time!
Wow…you had a great week!!! I unfortunately was still sick with a headcold, so I took the week off. I still wore my fitbit, but didn’t do any fitness walks. Hopefully I’ll be back in action next week!
