Calling all #FitReaders and anyone who wants to join in the fun – even those living outside the U.S. Felicia and I are planning a special GET UP AND MOVE event for Thanksgiving Day (November 26, 2015). Join us and your fellow #FitReaders by getting up, getting out, and moving (walk, stroll, run, etc.)

FitReaders Thanksgiving 2

No matter where you live or whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving, the idea is to get in your steps on this traditionally slow-moving, food-filled U.S. Holiday. SO… here’s how to participate:

  1. Get in your exercise – it doesn’t matter how big or small, just do it! Either while you are exercising, or after, tweet about it using the hashtags #ThanksgivingWalk #StrutMyStuff #FitReader and/or #NovemberWalk
  2. Check in here, using the comment section. Leave your name and what you did for your #ThanksgivingWalk.
  3. Once you have completed your walk (or other exercise), you can download this awesome badge and display it with pride (if you would like me to send you the media file, please let me know).

November Walk

Thank you to Felicia for designing these AWESOME badges!!

Felicia and I hope each of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And to all the #FitReaders – be sure to check back on Friday for the weekly Check-In post!

Gobble Gobble!!

  1. Well, doing my usual Thursday stuff tomorrow ;). let’s see if I can get in an extra walk between finishing my book (super important) and grocery shopping (super boring)

I’m in! It’s so hot here today I’ve barely moved so any and all encouragement will be gobbled up 🙂

  3. I’m at 9,527 after walking for 81 minutes. Now to get cleaned up and start getting ready for family to come over for a late lunch. Thanks for encouraging me to do this. I wouldn’t have done it without your help.

We took the dogs and went walking in the empty shopping center (which is a good workout because it’s huge and has stairs) and then strolled over to Starbucks. I’m hoping to get a little more in after dinner but we’ll see if I can move then. lol
