Thank you for stopping by That’s What I’m Talking About for today’s Mistletoe Madness spot. This year’s event is hosted by Blogging by Liza, Books Make Me Happy, and That’s What I’m Talking About. It’s is a two week event where authors with 2015 winter releases (November 2015 — January 2016) will take over our blogs with guest posts written from one of their character’s POV with a holiday theme (Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus, New Years, etc.). For a line up of all of the authors featured at all three blogs, please click on the image above or go to the kickoff post from December 1, 2015.

Today’s Mistletoe Madness author is…

Alexandra Ivy

Book: Kill Without Mercy
Release Date: December 29, 2015
Series: ARES Security #1

Letter To Santa

To Santa:

Joyeux Noël !   This is your favorite gargoyle, Levet.

I know you must be aware that I have been a very good boy this year.  Well, except for “borrowing” Viper’s crate of champagne he’d been saving for two hundred years.  If he didn’t want me to drink it, then he should have hidden it better.  And I did reveal the location of my new bestie Tayla to the dragon who’d been hunting for her.  I was only trying to help her find her true mate.  And there was that very small incident of setting the National Christmas tree on fire when I tried to light it with my magic.

But, even the annoying vampires must admit that I have been spreading love and peace around the world.   Just like Cupid, only with far greater style.  Who wants to be shot with an arrow by a chubby naked baby?  C’est stupide.  So I should have some reward, should I not?

To assist you, I have a list of presents I believe will be suitable.

1 Tickle Me Elmo.  (the classics never go out of fashion)
1 bottle of nectar
2 harpies (preferably in heat)
And 1 very large wooden stake in case Viper forgets that ‘tis the season for good-cheer.

Levet

About the Book:

Kill Without MercyFrom the hellhole of a Taliban prison to sweet freedom, five brave military heroes have made it home—and they’re ready to take on the civilian missions no one else can. Individually they’re intimidating. Together they’re invincible. They’re the men of ARES Security.

Rafe Vargas is only in Newton, Iowa, to clear out his late grandfather’s small house. As the covert ops specialist for ARES Security, he’s eager to get back to his new life in Texas. But when he crosses paths with Annie White, a haunted beauty with skeletons in her closet, he can’t just walk away—not when she’s clearly in danger…

There’s a mysterious serial killer on the loose with a link to Annie’s dark past. And the closer he gets, the deeper Rafe’s instinct to protect kicks in. But even with his considerable skill, Annie’s courage, and his ARES buddies behind him, the slaying won’t stop. Now it’s only a matter of time before Annie’s next—unless they can unravel a history of deadly lies that won’t be buried.

  1. Alexandra Ivy is an author that has been on my list to try for what seems like forever. This looks great. I love the letter to Santa.

My favorite holiday movie, I do watch A Christmas Story every year. I’m more a fan of the TV shows. I think Charlie Brown is my favorite followed by Rudolph and the Grinch.

    • Oh… I highly recommend KILL WITHOUT MERCY. I’ve read it for review and found it so exciting!

I’m a fan of Grinch (animated TV special) myself.

My favorite Christmas movie is Miracle on 34th Street, the newer version. Thanks for the give-away.
