Thank you for stopping by That’s What I’m Talking About for today’s Mistletoe Madness spot. This year’s event is hosted by Blogging by Liza, Books Make Me Happy, and That’s What I’m Talking About. It’s is a two week event where authors with 2015 winter releases (November 2015 — January 2016) will take over our blogs with guest posts written from one of their character’s POV with a holiday theme (Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus, New Years, etc.). For a line up of all of the authors featured at all three blogs, please click on the image above or go to the kickoff post from December 1, 2015.
Today’s Mistletoe Madness author is…

Book: All He Wants for Christmas
Release Date: December 1, 2015
Series: Multi-Author Anthology
Thanks so much to Jen for having me here today! I’m a teeny bit obsessed with Christmas time and listen to Christmas music all year. My little one is now old enough that he realizes that’s not normal and likes to tell me “you’re so weird mommy” even as he sings along to Jingle Bells in July. I definitely don’t wait until after Thanksgiving to start the Christmas decorations and we have… usually 4-5 trees. Maybe more this year. So when the anthology group I’m part of started talking about doing a Christmas anthology I was in heaven.
All He Wants for Christmas is 6 all new stories, all set in the fictional town of Holly, NC, where it’s Christmas 365 days a year. Today my heroine Nora is taking over to let you know one of her favorite recipes (it’s easy!).
From Nora (Merry Christmas, Baby)
When my sister and I moved to Holly, NC, a place where it’s Christmas year round I wasn’t sure what to expect. Because when we were growing up, our mom hated the holidays. It made the season a little depressing. Now that I own a bookstore/coffee shop right off Main Street in the most festive town in the country, it’s hard not to get into the spirit. But my knowledge of Christmas movies was sorely lacking until I met and fell for sexy, former SEAL Jackson O’Connor. He’s assured me that the best Christmas movies are:
A Christmas Story
Elf
Die HardTurns out he’s right, though his obsession with Die Hard is a little frightening. Since movie time isn’t complete without snacks I introduced him to candy cane cocoa. He was more interested in getting creative with the whipped cream—and I didn’t stop him 😉
For anyone interested, here’s the candy cane cocoa recipe, one of my favorites:
Ingredients
4 cups milk
3 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate, chopped
4 peppermint candy canes, crushed
1 cup whipped cream
4 small peppermint candy canesDirections
In a saucepan, heat milk until hot, but not boiling. Whisk in the chocolate and the crushed peppermint candies until melted and smooth. Pour hot cocoa into four mugs, and garnish with whipped cream. Serve each with a candy cane stirring stick.* Recipe courtesy of Allrecipes. Click here for direct link.

About the Book:
Six ALL NEW Christmas stories guaranteed to warm up your holidays… Here’s to finding spies, cops, rockers, SEALs, professional hockey players and billionaires under the Christmas tree this year! In Holly, a town where it’s Christmas every day of the year, 6 shop owners on Main Street are about to find love in unexpected places.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, BABY by Katie Reus
After unexpectedly inheriting a bookstore, Nora and her younger sister settled in Holly, NC, a place where it’s Christmas year-round. As the legal guardian for her sister the past few years, romance has been the last thing on Nora’s mind. But she broke her rules for the town’s golden boy—former SEAL Jackson O’Connor. When Jackson does something stupid and almost loses Nora for good, he realizes just how far he’s willing to go for the woman who’s stolen his heart. But it might take a Christmas miracle to get Nora to give him a second chance.

One of my favorite Christmas movies is It’s a Wonderful Life. One of my favorite desserts is peanut butter fudge. This is the only time I make it because it is so fattening.
I love It’s a Wonderful Life, but I can’t get my kids to watch it. *sigh*
Favorite movie has to be A Christmas Story. The family binge watches it every Christmas Eve. You can’t help but love Ralphie and his pink bunny pjs.
I had a blood orange mimosa a few years ago at a Christmas brunch and fell in love with it, so good, other than that I always have a cup of hot chocolate, sometimes a little naughty with a splash of Bailys or Guinness.
That’s blood orange mimosa sounds good! I have a holiday party tomorrow… maybe I’ll have to make it!
My mom makes this fudge every year. It’s the most complicated fudge recipe I’ve ever seen, but totally worth it!
I want this fudge!!
I think this is it actually. I’ve never googled it before since Mom keeps it on notecard. http://www.cooks.com/recipe/3f7ye541/creamy-nutcracker-fudge.html
Thanks for sharing!!
I love White Christmas with Bing Crosby 🙂 I watch it every year! Thanks for the fun spotlight and giveaway!
I haven’t seen it in years.
I still favor Miracle on 34th Street, especially the 1994 version. I love cheesecake for any holiday. Happy Holidays!
Did we discuss this last week? I really need to see the movie! Thanks!
A Christmas Story, I like the humor and that it’s not sweet. Love to watch it with a plate of assorted Christmas cookies.
Nice! It’s one of the classics.
I really enjoy watching While You Were Sleeping with Sandra Bullock. Eggnog with lots of nutmeg is probably my favorite holiday drink.
I love that movie!
Die Hard has always been my favorite Christmas movies :).
Lots of guns for Christmas!
I still love White Christmas…
I’ll keep dreaming…
I love the Santa Clause movies with Tim Allen.
So cute… The kids and I watched it last year. So cute.
A Christmas Story is a favorite holiday movie of mine.
Eat like a pig!!
Sound of Music, whaat? Not a holiday movie? Well they have played it every year for 20 years or something 😉
YES!! It is a Christmas movie – they always show it! Love it!
Favorite movie – National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Drink – Peppermint Mocha at Starbucks
Dessert – all of them LOL
My MIL just brought over homemade peanut butter fudge. I’ve eaten three pieces.
One of my favorite movies is Home Alone!
My kids have been asking about that one… we should watch it!
I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of Christmas movies. On the other hand, I love Christmas cocktails. My favorite is homemade eggnog. I don’t like the store bought stuff at all, but homemade eggnog is so yummy and very easy to make (and you can add more or less rum depending on your mood LOL).
Sounds good to me! *cheers*
