Thank you for stopping by That’s What I’m Talking About for today’s Mistletoe Madness spot. This year’s event is hosted by Blogging by Liza, Books Make Me Happy, and That’s What I’m Talking About. It’s is a two week event where authors with 2015 winter releases (November 2015 — January 2016) will take over our blogs with guest posts written from one of their character’s POV with a holiday theme (Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus, New Years, etc.). For a line up of all of the authors featured at all three blogs, please click on the image above or go to the kickoff post from December 1, 2015.

Today’s Mistletoe Madness author is…

Sorcha Mowbray

Book: A Cowboy’s Christmas Wish
Release Date: November 2015
Series: One Night With A Cowboy #3

Girl Talk with Mel

Hi everyone! I’m Mel, short for Melissa. I have to tell you I used to hate the holidays. See, my mom died around the holidays. So, even though she wasn’t much of a mom, I still felt extra lonely. At least, I did until Ford came back into my life.

Ford Grayson was the boy I fell in love with when I was in high school. But, as boys are won’t to do, he took off for college. Me? I had big plans, but of course they all collapsed when I realized I had to stay in Tuckerville, TX and make sure my mom didn’t kill herself or worse, someone else.

So it was no surprise when the boy I loved dumped me after he discovered all the fun he could have at college. I hated Ford for ten long years. And it seemed every Christmas was a real poke in the eye to remind me of all that had gone wrong in my life.

But then all that changed.

See, I was working at The Silo a few days before Christmas, when a ghost of Christmas’ past strolled into the bar. Ford. An older, taller, and much, much sexier, Ford. Holy crap! Needless to say, I was all set to teach him a lesson and hopefully get some closure. But, that man had more up his sleeve than I ever expected.

I won’t bore you with all the details. (Read the book!) But, he blew into my world and turned everything upside down. Now, we’re about to get married…a Christmas wedding. Well, that is if I don’t kill the bossy, obstinate man.

Since I get to plan the ultimate Christmas Wedding I need a little help. Comment below with something I need to include in the wedding. A tradition, a decoration, a song, a dress, anything goes! One commentor will win a copy of the Sexy To Go Christmas Edition which also has my story in it, A Cowboy’s Christmas Wish.

ACCWAbout the Book:

When rancher Ford Grayson saunters out of Melissa Adams’ past and into her bar, she’s determined to take him for a ride and kick him to the curb. Payback’s a bitch. But, the cowboy is determined to make his very own Christmas wish come true.

Ford crossed the distance between them, cock hard and balls aching. Nothing about Mel didn’t rock his world—even after ten years. Her body had softened and filled out in all the right places. Her eyes tracked his every move with a wary vulnerability that tore at his soul. “Even if you were right, and truth be told you probably are, nobody would do but you.”

“Give over.” She pushed him away. “I’m not that same starry-eyed girl you dated back in high school. You wanna get laid? I might be willing to accommodate you. But, if I do it will be on my terms.” She folded her arms across her ample breasts and stared him in the eyes.

His cock thickened and lengthened at the prospect she might strip off her tight tee-shirt and tiny little shorts for him. Suddenly, she was the answer to every Christmas wish he’d made for the last nine years. Every fantasy he’d tried to live out in the tropical heat this time of year.

“Mel.” He managed to push her name over the sandpaper that lined his throat. Saliva wouldn’t answer his body’s demand, and breath barely squeezed past the constriction in his airway.

She pressed a finger to his lips. “Don’t. It’s the holidays, and the truth is I don’t want to face my lonely apartment. So, if you want me, I’m willing to oblige both our curiosities about what it was like and if it could possibly be everything we remember.”

Relief sliced through his tension and let anticipation bubble to the surface. He slid his hands up over her shoulders and then her cheeks to cup her face as he possessed her mouth. The very same mouth that had led him to believe all was well with her. His tongue delved past her lips and teeth to explore her mouth in wild abandon.

With a groan, she clutched at his waist and pressed her breasts against his chest. In that moment Ford knew no business deal, no cattle auction, no rodeo win could ever compare with the exhilaration he got from tasting Mel. She was addictive.

He walked her backwards until they hit the pool table. In the space of a heartbeat, he shifted his hands from her face to her waist so he could lift her onto the sturdy surface. Her legs spread, welcomed him in as he pressed closer. He let his fingers drift under the hem of her tank top to tease the silky skin shielded from his view.

Their lips parted and he let the oxygen filter into his lungs to feed the hungry cells in his body with at least a small part of what they needed. A moment of clarity swept through his lust-fogged brain as he questioned how quickly they’d jumped from hello to let’s get naked.

“You sure you want this? It’s been a long time. A lot of things left unsaid, and a few that maybe should’ve stayed that way.” He worked hard to not sink his fingers into the softness of her hips as he waited for her to answer.

“Cowboy, you always did talk too much.” She reached up, pulled him down, and devoured him again. Her lips melded with his, tongues twined, and breath mingled.

The ability to think about anything but the taste of the woman in his arms escaped him as his world narrowed down to the fiery female who threatened to incinerate him with desire.

About the Author:

2014SorchaAvatar2Sorcha Mowbray is a mild mannered office worker by day… okay, so she is actually a mouthy, opinionated, take charge kind of gal who bosses everyone around; but she definitely works in an office. At night she writes romance so hot she sets the sheets on fire! Just ask her slightly singed husband.

She is a longtime lover of historical romance, having grown up reading Johanna Lindsey and Judith McNaught. Then she discovered Thea Devine and Susan Johnson. Holy cow! Heroes and heroines could do THAT? From there, things devolved into trying her hand at writing a little smexy. Needless to say, she liked it and she hopes you do too!

I’d say just happiness. So many brides get caught up in the planning, they lose the joy and the fun. Thanks for sharing!

I kept my own wedding simple so that it wasn’t so stressful. I would recommend the bride wear a comfortable pair of shoes since sometimes, as women, we tend to want the highest heel or prettiest shoe.
