My Week:
VACATION! Hello from Ft. Myers, Florida. My family and I are visiting my parents. We just arrived on Thursday morning and spent the day at the pool, therefore not making my step or exercise goal. AND I’m eating lots. But it’s vacation. haha. My goal is to fit in a 10k while I’m here. I’ll report back next week.
In general, this wasn’t a great week. I didn’t meet my step goal 3 days this week – I don’t know the last time that happened. Between the lack of movement and continued higher-calorie eating, I’ve not lost the extra weight I put on while in Daytona.
My Movement*:
Friday: no exercise, 8,127 steps/day
Saturday: one walk totaling 33 minutes, 11,614 steps/day
Sunday: one walk totaling 41 minutes, 10,621 steps/day
Monday: two walks totaling 72 minutes, 16,093 steps/day
Tuesday: shoveling for 22 minutes, 6,260 steps/day
Wednesday: one walk totaling 45 minutes, 13,720 steps/day
Thursday: no exercise, 5,800 steps/day
* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.
So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit? Be sure to stop over at Felicia the Geeky Blogger blog to sign up for this month!
Enjoy vacation! Don’t worry about your steps – it’s your time to have fun and relax. 🙂
Thanks. I will get in lots of exercise, but the eating is a hot mess!
A vacay is always needed
And appreciated!
Hope you have a great time away! I missed my goals twice this week but it was a pretty awful week so I gave myself a pass on it. My current goal is getting easier so probably going to bump it up another 500 steps this coming week so that’s good at least 😀
Thanks Anna! I’m having a great time with my family. And what awesome news about bumping up your goal steps. That is really good!! Congrats!
Hope you have a great time in Florida with your family! I think you did a good job with your steps. If I don’t exercise I get very few steps in. I had a pretty bad week with several days where I didn’t meet my goal. I also ate lots of chocolate and bacon at my parents’ place as well as a big burger when we went out to eat. I always eat too much when I’m with them 🙂
Thanks Christina. I’m fine with going off a bit while on vacation… but when I get back home I need to be better! Hopefully after vacation I’ll find a groove again.
