My Week:
I’m writing this post, sitting in the Ft. Myers airport, heading back to New England this evening. I had a wonderful family vacation; enjoying the sun and lots of fun with Mom, Dad, MIL, FIL, DH, and the kiddos. I’m also glad we still have a “long weekend” before Monday hits again. I was able to get in lots of steps while away. Mom and I even did the virtual 10k! WOOT!! My only downfall was a TON of really bad eating, drinking, and birthday celebrating. Adding to the weight I gained in Daytona, I’m up about 4+ pounds, which I’ll need to work on starting next week.
My Movement*:
Friday: one walk totaling 72 minutes, 14,242 steps/day
Saturday: one walk totaling 38 minutes, 11,271 steps/day
Sunday: one walk totaling 47 minutes, 12,188 steps/day
Monday: one walk totaling 11 minutes, 7,424 steps/day
Tuesday: one walk totaling 53 minutes, 11,479 steps/day
Wednesday: one walk totaling 98 minutes – virtual 10k, 15,465 steps/day
Thursday: one walk totaling 40 minutes, 11,000+ steps/day
* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.

For being on vacation, you killed it in the steps. Way to go!! Don’t worry about those lbs. You’ll get rid of them. What’s important is that you had a great time with your family!
Thanks! February is a crazy month – with two trips away, 3 birthdays, and cold weather… I am happy with only a few pounds up. Thanks!
Awesome steps, and “huzzah” for the virtual 10k with your Mom!
Thanks! We didn’t start out to do the 10K, but it worked out that way once we saw how close we were!
I need to do that 10 k but I like the woods and those are filled with snow 😉
No snow in Florida!
Impressive week Jen and impressed to see you and your Mom doing the 10K together. Inspiring.
Thanks! It was great to have a partner for that long walk!
Glad you had a great time on your vacation and good job with your steps!
Thank you!
