My Week:

Another pretty good week for me! Although I had a huge celebration on Saturday (my son earned his junior black belt in karate), I still walked everyday and did my best to eat within my caloric range the remaining days. Even Thursday – when it was pouring rain, I walking inside, around my house, to get in my steps. It felt good to keep up good habits for another week!

Friday: one walk totaling 19 minutes, 10,657 steps/day
Saturday: one walk totaling 32 minutes, 7,892 steps/day
Sunday: one walk totaling 33 minutes, 11,223 steps/day
Monday: one walk totaling 38 minutes, 11,465 steps/day
Tuesday: one walk totaling 43 minutes, 10,542 steps/day
Wednesday: two walks totaling 79 minutes, 15,099 steps/day (1st 5k of the month)
Thursday: 56 minutes Body Flow + one walk totaling 36 minutes, 10,100+ steps/day

* I track two different goals. The first goal is a timed duration of exercise – moving with the intent to raise my heart rate and get in some cardiovascular work. This is what I’m mean when I say “45 minutes walking.” The second goal is total daily steps. This is from my Fitbit, which measures all steps from 12:00AM – 11:59PM, exercise included.

    • Thanks! And today is BG’s 10th birthday!! Lots of celebrating. While I still have a pound or two to lose, I’m feeling much better and have more energy the past two weeks.

    I am pretty proud of myself for getting my steps in with being in the pool most of the day Saturday. It was so much fun playing in a huge 18 foot deep pool but 10 degrees cooler than expected.

    I got 12k steps and two gym visits in. My legs and back are super sore. My race tomorrow, may be pretty slow but Vivian, the wonder dog, and I will still go have our adventure. And I made some new friends over the weekend and I have new running and diving buddies.

    Congratulations to your son. That’s a great accomplishment.

    Glad your week went well. I have been keeping up with my daily exercise on the stationary bike, and managed to get a couple of walks in.

    • Thanks Gayle. Glad you are keeping up with your exercises. I had a minor set back on Friday, but hopefully I’ll get back to things today (Saturday).

    I am forever walking around my house to get my steps in…usually I do that while watching tv, but sometimes I’ll do it while reading – or catching up on twitter! Anything to get those steps in, especially if I’m participating in those Fitbit Challenges…who wants to be at the bottom of those leaderboards 😉 I always feel better when I get some type of movement in – whether it’s some walking around or even 15 minutes of yoga…just a little something does wonders for my mood!     • Thanks Kristin. I did that very thing on Thursday evening – But I didn’t do it smart. I was wearing my slippers and didn’t thing about the pounding on my feet. So Friday I had a lot of foot pain. It’s a bit better today, but I am taking it easy so I don’t injure it more.

  4. Aw congrats to the son! Exciting! We didn’t have rain here but gah the cold came back with a vengeance! Got a wee bit tired of stepping around the house. lol Looks like tomorrow will be the same though. It’s hitting 28 tonight. Ahh!
