Welcome to #FitReaders!! Felicia the Geeky Blogger and I are super excited to be co-hosting this fitness-oriented group for another year! I’m hosting check-ins for the remainder of 2016, and you’ll find the check-ins every Friday right here. On the first of each month, there will be a “Commit to Exercise” post where you can sign up and share your monthly goals.
It is time to Commit to Exercise for December 2016! Whether you are just joining us, need to get back on the wagon, or continuing your monthly progress, now is the time to stand up and say “I’m in! I’m committed to getting up and moving!”
So are you ready to commit to being fit? Remember there will be weekly check-ins on Fridays, motivation on twitter (#FitReaders), and a support group over on Facebook.

Goals for December:
I had a decent November, doing better with my eating and hitting my step/exercise goals most days, with the only goal I missed significantly in November being the BodyFlow (yoga) class attendance. I got back down to my goal weight, and now I want to work at maintaining it. Mostly, I want to have a healthy outlook and continue to support my fellow FitReaders. My monthly goals are:
- Reach 10,000 steps each day
- Move with purpose (exercise) at least 30 minutes, 6 days per week
- Complete the hourly “red dot” from 8am – 7pm, 3 days per week
- Track my caloric intake using the LoseIt! app each day
- Walk a 5K each week (5 for the month of December)
- Find a new yoga class to replace BodyFlow (to start in January 2017)

On Sunday December 25th… Join Felicia and me and #StrutMyStuff on Christmas Day! No matter where you live or whether or not you celebrate Christmas, join us in our effort to get up and move. More details to come!
