What I’m Talking About:

Love Her or Lose Her is the second book in Tessa Bailey’s Hot & Hammered series. It focuses on Dominic who works for Brick & Morty, the construction company that pulls most of the characters together, and Rosie, who wants to open her own restaurant. The couple has been married for about ten years. The last few years have not been as happy as their earlier years together.

Dominic is an ex-marine, and ever since he came back from Afghanistan, he has been quiet and closed off. Rosie has responded to this with her own pulling up walls. After coming home one night from work and finding her husband half-dressed waiting for her (their Tuesday night scheduled sex) she decides she has had enough and tells Dominic she is done with their marriage. Dominic is floored by her words.

Rosie and Dominic both agree to go to couples therapy to see if their marriage is savable. While they do not have any problems with sexual chemistry or love, they have big issues with communication. They work through their issues to get back to a good place.

Love Her or Lose Her is a great marriage-in-trouble romance. There’s heart, tears, laughter and holy smokes are there sexy times and heated chemistry. I was rooting for this couple throughout the whole book.

Tessa Bailey fully entertained me again with her Hot & Hammered series and I look forward to the next book which will feature the sister to the heroine in the first book and the new worker at Brick & Morty. They had some funny and hot banter in this novel so I know they are going to be hot on the page in their own story.

My Rating: A- Enjoyed A Lot

About the Book:

Rosie and Dominic Vega are the perfect couple: high school sweethearts, best friends, madly in love. Well, they used to be anyway. Now Rosie’s lucky to get a caveman grunt from the ex-soldier every time she walks in the door. Dom is faithful and a great provider, but the man she fell in love with ten years ago is nowhere to be found. When her girlfriends encourage Rosie to demand more out of life and pursue her dream of opening a restaurant, she decides to demand more out of love, too. Three words: marriage boot camp.

Never in a million years did Rosie believe her stoic, too-manly-to-emote husband would actually agree to relationship rehab with a weed-smoking hippy. Dom talking about feelings? Sitting on pillows? Communing with nature? Learning love languages? Nope. But to her surprise, he’s all in, and it forces her to admit her own role in their cracked foundation. As they complete one ridiculous—yet surprisingly helpful—assignment after another, their remodeled relationship gets stronger than ever. Except just as they’re getting back on track, Rosie discovers Dom has a secret… and it could demolish everything.
