After reading Linda’s (Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell) TMST posts this past year, I decided to join in the fun!

January 14, 2020: Tell me about the city/ town you live in.
I live in a fairly small town in Coastal New England. My husband and I moved here almost 20 years ago – before kids and such. We moved here from Seattle, to be closer to his family, which all live within 20 minutes of our location.
After growing up in Michigan and living six years in Seattle, this town felt small and different to me. People are friendly and outgoing Spring – Fall, but once Winter comes, we all hibernate (or ski!). Since we live about 1/2 mile from the coast, our weather is heavily influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. We get all four seasons, although winter tends to last a bit longer this “far north.” However, living on the coast, we don’t get as much snow as those living a few miles inland.
We have over 15,000 people in our town, but that number swells over the summer months as tourists flock to our beaches. Now that we’ve lived here for 20 years, raising our two teenagers since birth, it feels like home.
