March 17, 2020: What book(s) do you consider a lucky find?
I define a Lucky Find as something that I just picked up – no recommendations. (I have lots of great finds that came from recommendations).
My favorite lucky find would be something I mentioned last week… I discovered the Kate Daniels series when I picked up the Must Love Hellhounds anthology in 2010. That was pure luck and lead to the discovery of my all-time favorite authors.
More recently, I’d say most of my luck finds are in audiobook format. For example, I picked up the Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery series by Danielle Garrett because of the narrator, Amanda Ronconi. This has lead to a couple dozen books, spanning four series. I also discovered the Cleo Mack Mystery series by G.P. Gardner because of the narrator, Karen White.
