September 1: What’s the biggest mistake you made as a newbie blogger?
WOW! That was over ten years ago… Honestly, it’s hard to remember. I think the biggest problem was taking on too much at once. When I started making contacts with publishers, I would agree to read almost anything to strengthen the connection. I would select more books than I could read and then I’d be up all night trying to finish a review. I also tried to do too much – I would run contests and giveaways, events and features. I wanted to grow my numbers, which is important, but later I realized, I need to just do what I love doing or it becomes a chore to blog.
