September 8: Name some book sidekicks you would love to have by your side?

I know that there are a million that I’m not listing… but I’ll try my best to come up with a few.

  1. Audiobook cover of The Squirrel on the Train by Kevin HearneOberon (Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne): Oberon is a massive Irish Wolfhound who, through the magic of his best friend, Atticus, has cognitive abilities that rival humans. The sausage-loving hound is protective and loyal, and he is able to chase off dangerous squirrels. He helps Atticus on their adventures, but most importantly, loves Atticus with his whole heart.
  2. Bob the Skull (Dresden Files by James Butcher): A powerful intellect spirit who inhabits a human skull, Bob knows all. He loves a saucy erotic romance and roaming Chicago. And although he’s got hundreds of years of knowledge and can be a bit arrogant, he is helpful and loyal to those who take care of him, even considering them friends.
  3. Cookie (Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones): She is the best friend to top all best friends. The wise-cracking, coffee-loving sidecar to Charley’s antics, she knows how to keep every part moving. She can Google the hell out of anything and keeps the coffee flowing. She is fierce, loyal, and loving. I always want Cookie on my team.
