The Forever Girl

What I’m Talking About:
The Forever Girl is the sixth book in the Wildstone series but the series is really a series of standalone books since the only thing connecting each installment is the town, so feel free to jump in with The Forever Girl if you’ve not read the others.
This visit to Wildstone brings a story of four friends, Maze, Walker, Caitlin, and Heather, who are more like family. They lived together for one year when they were young and Heather’s family fosters the others. Heather also had a younger brother who died that year causing them all to get separated for a while but they always come back together like a real family.
Cat is in the throes of planning a wedding and missing her family so she tricks the gang to come back to Wildstone after some of them not seeing each other for a couple of years. She tricks them by saying her wedding is that weekend when in fact it’s a week away. The group spends time reconnecting and helping Cat with wedding plans. Maze and Walker have a past the other two don’t know about and they dance around each other until they can’t deny their chemistry/love.
The Forever Girl is a funny, touching, and at times sexy story about finding the people you need in your life and fighting to keep them. If you’re in the mood for a feel-good story about friendship, family, and finding a HEA for a romance that started years ago then Jill Shalvis delivers it in her newest release.

About the Book:
When Maze returns to Wildstone for the wedding of her estranged bff and the sister of her heart, it’s also a reunion of a once ragtag team of teenagers who had only each other until a tragedy tore them apart and scattered them wide.
Now as adults together again in the lake house, there are secrets and resentments mixed up in all the amazing childhood memories. Unexpectedly, they instantly fall back into their roles: Maze their reckless leader, Cat the den mother, Heather the beloved baby sister, and Walker, a man of mystery.
Life has changed all four of them in immeasurable ways. Maze and Cat must decide if they can rebuild their friendship, and Maze discovers her long-held attraction to Walker hasn’t faded with the years but has only grown stronger.
