March 9th: Social media: love them or hate them?
I’m in the middle. I don’t use social media nearly as much as I did ten years ago. Back then, it was a way to seek out new connections, reconnect with old friends, talk about books and such with other like-minded individuals, “meet” authors I love reading. I was active and so were the folks I chatted with, but now I find that social media is filled with a lot of garbage and it’s hard to find good content without running into so much ugly. I have found other ways to chat with most of my friends and connections. A lot of the authors I first started following are no longer active. I still use Twitter and Facebook to promote the blog, but the numbers are way down.
In the end… I am still using Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. I promote my blog posts, promote other blogs, and have mostly a one-sided discussion from time to time. Cute animal photos are my favorite.
