June 8th: Best character jobs: what are some jobs characters have had that you loved or would like to do?
Hmmm… I’m not really sure. I’ve been a life guard, barista, babysitter, engineer, town planner, grant writer, and a MOM, to name a few jobs. Other than mom, I don’t recall if I’ve read books with those jobs. Probably.
I mean I would enjoy being a Wizard for Hire like Harry Dresden, but I wouldn’t want his life!
I love the idea of owning a bakery (Sprinkles and Sea Serpents by Danielle Garrett, Gimme Some Sugar by Molly Harper, Don’t Call Me Cupcake by Tara Sheets). But I’m not a baker. I would just want to sample everything, too.
I do love the idea of owning or working in a book store (One Christmas Eve by Shannon Stacey). That would be awesome.
