September 28th: Do you read 1 book at a time? or multiple?
Typically I have two books going at the same time: one in ebook format and one in audiobook format. Sometimes, but very rarely, I listen to and read the same book, switching between the audiobook and ebook. That tends to happen when on a deadline. Ninety-nine percent of the time, it’s two separate books. I try to listen to and read different genres, so I don’t start mixing up the plots or characters. For example, right now, my ebook is a light UF mystery series with romantic elements and lots of humor. My audiobook is a dark fantasy romance. Not much chance of a crossover mix-up. But I have had times when both books are historical romances or contemporary romances, which caused some confusion in this old lady brain. That’s why I try to avoid it if possible.
