Yes and Yes.
I have a number of blogs that I visit regularly. I try to comment on most of them. I typically comment on discussion type posts like this one (another popular type is the Sunday catchup post) and on books that I’ve read and like to compare my take on a book with the blogger’s review. I will also comment on reviews of books that I may want to read in the future.
I pretty much always respond to comments left on my blog, and usually within a few days. I don’t get a lot of comments, so it’s not difficult for me to keep up.
