April 19th: How did you choose your blogging platform?
When I started blogging, I used the free “Blogger” platform provided by Google. It was easy to set up and use… until it wasn’t. I don’t remember exactly when (but about a year or two after I started blogging), but I remember the what so vividly… Google decided that my blog was spam. It deleted my entire blog! It was GONE! Thank goodness, I ended up being one of the lucky ones, and after I ran up and down the google chains, my blog was reinstated. But I didn’t want that to happen again. So I hired a designer / blogger who specialized in setting up blogs. She recommended self-hosted WordPress. I said, “sure.” And that was that. She migrated over my blog content and I’ve been paying for hosting since.
