The Tackle My TBR Reading Challenge is returning for 2022! I will continue to use the challenge to help me focus more older releases on my TBR. I didn’t quite make my goal of 60 books in 2021 so I’m setting my 2022 goal at Field Goal: read 37-48 TBR books.
You can find out more about #TackleMyTBR2022 over at Kimberly Faye Reads.
Audiobooks 7 | Nook 2 | Kindle 4 | Paper 6
19 out of 48 books read
Books read in May:
- Dating You Hating You by Christina Lauren
- Luck, Love & Lemon Pie by Amy E. Reichert
I didn’t get much done this month because I listened to two review audiobooks. Plus I did a relisten to the Hidden Legacy series before reading Ruby Fever so I’m not sorry. LOL I’m on vacation some in June so maybe I’ll read more than two from my TBR.
Mini Reviews:
Dating You Hating You has been on my Nook for a few years and I’m not 100% sure why I wanted so long to read it. I’m a huge Christina Lauren fan but if I had to pick a reason for waiting it might be because I binged so many of their books that I took a break. I did this with other favorite contemporary author. I’ve been traveling 3 days a week to another clinic to train two new lab techs so I have more drive time to listen so I checked the audiobook out from the library since one of my favorite female narrators, Shayna Thibodeaux voiced. She and Deacon Lee did a great job with the changing POV chapters for the MCs. The story was a little little reminiscent of The Hating Game by Sally Thorne which I loved. Where as in that novel the co-workers turned lovers worked in the publishing business, in Dating You Hating You they work in the entertain business as agents.
Luck, Love & Lemon Pie by Amy E. Reichert has been on my shelf ever since received a print copy from the publisher I 2016. I decided to go with the audiobook from the library because Susan Erickson narrates and I love her work on the In Death series by J.D. Robb. I wanted to see how she voiced this one. The story moved a little slow at times but I still enjoyed it. It took me a while to remove Susan’s voice from the In Death series, I kept wondering when Dallas and Roarke was going to show up on page. LOL
