May 31st: Do you request ARCs (Advance Review Copies)? Why or why not?

YES! Why… because I have a book review site and I review books!

Okay, that’s an oversimplification… I am an active reviewer, posting original content five to six days per week. Additionally, I am able to commit to posting a review within a month of a book’s release date. With those two factors, I continue to request ARCs for books I want to read. The ARCs and ALCs (advance listening copies) I receive are unsolicited by me in that I do not approach a publisher and/or author directly about a book; however, I will request titles via NetGalley and Edelweiss. Additionally, I am on email lists from publishers where I am offered specific ebooks and audiobooks for review, and I may select the titles that way. I also belong to a couple ARC review groups for specific authors. I only select books I plan to read/listen to and will post a review. I only select books I think I will enjoy.
