March 28th: What is your ideal book/audiobook length?
Generally, I enjoy books that are between 200-400 pages and audiobooks that are 5-12 hours long. I can enjoy shorter books if the story is well-written and fulfilling, or if it’s related to a series I already enjoy. But shorter titles can lack character development and world building necessary to make the story satisfying. Longer titles are okay, as well; however, sometimes long books are just that… too long, with unnecessary subplots and in need of editing. Bottom line: I don’t pick a book based on it’s length, but it can be a factor in selection.
