March 7th: Travel: are you getting out? Where have you been?
Perfect question seeing as I just got back from a trip!
For reference, we take two trips each year: we drive to Michigan in the summer to have a family reunion at my folks’ home on a lake, and then in February, my family flys to my mom and dad’s condo in Ft. Myers, Florida. We also try to visit my sister’s home in Philly at Christmas.
From March 2020 – May 2021, we didn’t do much traveling. We did drive to my parents’ home in August 2020 – drove straight through and didn’t stop, and stayed with our family. Other than that, no trips. After getting vaccinated, my daughter and I flew to visit friends in May 2021. After that we picked up our usual schedule of travel.
From February 22 – 26, 2023, I was at Coastal Magic Convention (in Orlando this year because of hurricanes). This is something I do most years, but it was the first in-person one since 2020. It was great to see all the authors and fellow readers. I was a moderator for some of the panels, which was a lot of fun. Following the con, I drove to Ft. Myers for my usual family vacation.
