ONLY GOOD ENEMIES, book #2 in my Galactic Bonds science-fiction fantasy romance series, came out last week. Woot!
Sometimes in my books, I will reference things from my real life, and these things often end up being some of my favorite lines/moments. For example, in ONLY GOOD ENEMIES, my heroine Vesper Quill says this about pets/animals:
“Corgi puppies and boodle kitties have always been my favorites.”
“Boodle kitties” is something I added to the book to hopefully make readers smile or laugh for a moment. It’s an Easter egg reference to Kitty Boodle, the cat who belongs to my mom.
Boodle is a spoiled diva princess. If she was in my Galactic Bonds world, she would immediately take control of any spaceship, sneak around and spy on everyone, and then make everyone pet her and give her all the treats she wanted.

My mom says that I need to start giving Boodle royalties for appearing in my newsletter. My mom has even started texting me pictures of Boodle with the message “More royalties”. 
I also mentioned corgis because I had corgi mix named Lucky when I was a kid. Lucky was the best dog ever. We had him for about nineteen years, and I’ve loved corgis ever since.
Someday, I hope to write versions of Boodle and Lucky into one of my books. Maybe Vesper and Kyrion need some pets to take along on their galactic adventures. 😉
