August 22nd: Have you ever picked up a book you didn’t finish/didn’t like and ended up enjoying it?
This topic goes along hand-in-hand with the DNF post from a last week. One thing I have done, is I’ll put a book on “pause” if I find I just can’t get into it, or it’s taking too much time to read. Since I don’t dislike the book, I don’t want to DNF it, and I tell myself I’ll come back when I have the time. But here’s the thing… I don’t go back, at least I haven’t yet. The only exception is if I’m reading/listening to a book from my TBR pile, and a review book comes in. I will put aside the TBR book to finish the review book, but I’ll then go back to the TBR book. But other than that… I haven’t gone back to the “set aside” book yet.
