Featured Author Q and A:
Can you tell us a little bit about your writing: What genres do you write? Do you prefer to write one genre over another?
I write a bit of everything. In the past, I’ve written fantasy, women’s historical fiction, romance, and I’ve even dabbled in horror. I don’t prefer a particular genre. For me, it’s all about the story and the characters.
What is your newest/upcoming release? Tell us about the book and series.
Next year in late February the fourth book in my Flea Market Magic Series will be released. The title is FEROCIOUS FLEA MARKET DRAGONS. The urban fantasy mystery series is about a neurotic werewolf and her adventures working as a clerk for supernatural shops. I also have a speculative women’s historical fiction book coming out in summer 2024. It’s about a family saga of Black time travelers called THE FALLEN FRUIT.
What drew you to the Coastal Magic Convention?
For several years, I received invites to the conference, but I couldn’t attend since the dates were close to my son’s birthday. I’ve always wanted to go since I’ve heard great things about the conference. And who doesn’t love sunshine and beaches?
Ocean or Lake? I love a lake with a great breeze. I settle in and read.
Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall? Fall all the way.
Ebook, Paperback, or Audiobook? I love paperback, but I love eBooks to adjust the font size.
Alpha male or Cinnamon Roll? Alpha male.
Ted Lasso or Roy Kent? Ted Lasso.
THANKS so much for playing along!

Nat just wants to fulfill her side of the bargain and get out, but before she can do so, all hell breaks loose. About the Author:
Shawntelle Madison is a web developer who loves to weave words as well as code. She’d never admit it, but if asked she’d say she covets and collects source code. After losing her first summer job detasseling corn, Shawntelle performed various jobs—from fast-food clerk to grunt programmer to university webmaster. Writing eccentric characters is her most favorite job of them all. On any particular day when she’s not surgically attached to her computer, she can be found watching cheesy horror movies or the latest action-packed anime. She lives in Missouri with her husband and children.
