Featured Author Q and A:

Can you tell us a little bit about your writing: What genres do you write? Do you prefer to write one genre over another? 

I love paranormal, fantasy, and sci-fi romance! Anything that takes place in a magical or futuristic world is right up my alley. If it’s too realistic, I don’t want it! 

What is your newest/upcoming release? Tell us about the book and series.

My next release is The Rogue’s Curse, book 5 of my Cursed Blood series. This series is a paranormal romance series featuring complicated, damaged vampire heroes who suffer from fairytale-inspired curses. 

I love this series because it ticks so many boxes for me – paranormal romance, badass vampires, smart heroines, a magical world right under the noses of the mundane world, found family, and plenty of steam!

The Rogue’s Curse features Paris Rossignol, a fan favorite character from the previous books. We’ve gotten glimpses of his flirty nature and his fierce loyalty, always with the sense that there’s a lot more going on under the pretty face. There’s also a ton of excitement going on in the vampire world, with rival courts and vampire hunters contributing to the chaos. 

It releases on October 26, and I can’t wait for readers to meet Paris and his beau, Misha!

What is your favorite thing about the Coastal Magic Convention?

I love Coastal because it has such great programming and incredible author guests but in a cozy, relaxed setting. I love that readers and authors can connect through the events both online in the months leading up to the event and in person. It’s a great experience for everyone!

Do you have any pets? Please tell us about them.

I have a super cute calico cat named Matilda. She is super sweet, and she started out as my “porch kitty.” She belonged to my former neighbors and came to visit me all the time. After a while, I would come home and find her already laying on my porch waiting for me!

When they moved, they asked if I wanted to take her. And now she’s my Chunky Calico Princess! She’s very sweet and affectionate.

What are a few of your favorite reads from 2023?

Right now I’m reading some nonfiction marketing books (not terribly exciting) as well as some excellent fantasy romance and some regular fantasy. I’m reading Blood of Elves from the Witcher series, and restarting A Court of Thorns and Roses since I never finished the series!
