January 30th: It’s the movie of your life: who do you cast in the leading role?
I am a redhead. I have curly hair. When I was little, there were no popular actresses that had red hair. I was compared to Annie and Pippi Longstocking. Finally, when I was in high school, John Hughes gave us Molly Ringwald and I rejoiced. There was a popular clothing store that put curly red wigs on their mannequins. Eventually, red hair became somewhat popular. Many heroines in romance novels had long, red hair. Actresses popped up left and right with all different shades of natural or dyed red hair. I finally felt like I didn’t stand out in a crowd.
SO I give you that history because I would base the role on hair color – even though it can be easily dyed to fit the job. I supposed Amy Adams would work because we are about the same age, and she has light eyes (mine are gray). But we really don’t look alike. What do you think? Who should play me?
