#FitReaders Check-In: June 28, 2024

Welcome to #FitReaders2024!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.

Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!

I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.

Last Week (June 17 – June 23, 2024):

I started the week getting fully back into my routines. Work was work, etc. We were off Wednesday for the holiday, but I got a lot done around my house. Then Thursday, my usual day off, I had to work a special event from 4:00 – 8:30 at night. It was also very hot for this part of the world, and I didn’t exercise, but I did go to the beach for a few hours in the morning! Friday was another weird work day because of the event. I honestly don’t remember what I did Saturday. Sunday I was in Boston to see the final “Broadway in Boston” show of the season: MJ The Musical. It was really well done, music awesome, but just reinforced what a tragedy this man’s life was, so it also made me sad. We went out to dinner after the show, which was nice.

Weight: I was up 0.4 pounds last week.

Goals: I started the week strong, getting in my walks and stretching. Then… I didn’t. There are a few reasons why: heat, working weird hours, etc., but the bottom line is I just didn’t make the time. But, I did do really well with my food/drink intake, so I think that’s

Goals for June:

  • Close all three “rings” in Apple Watch, 5 days per week. – 4/5 days
  • Move with purpose (exercise) at least 30 minutes, 5 days per week. – 4/5 days
  • Stretch for 10 minutes 5 days per week. – 4/5 days
  • Track food/calories 7 days per week. – 7/7 days
  • Limit alcohol intake to 2 days per week. – 1 days

During 2024 I plan:

  • To maintain my January 1st weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort. 
  • To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
  • To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
