Featured Author Q and A:

What are you looking forward to most at Coastal Magic Con 2025?

Seeing and talking with all of the readers and catching up with author friends.

Tell us about your newest book and series.

My newest release is a rerelease of A CHEF’S KISS (Small Town Secrets series) as a bonus story with Robyn Carr’s DREAMING OF A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS. This book with two heartfelt romance novels releases September 2024.

My upcoming 2025 release is A HONEY FOR THE BEEKEEPER, Bishop Honey Bee Farm, Book This new series is part of the Tillbridge Stables world. Here are a few details about the book:

Brooke Bishop thrives on adventure, from skiing slopes to sailing yachts—anything to avoid her family’s bee farm. But when Brooke and her estranged sister inherit the farm, she’s stuck there until her sister can buy her out. And then Brooke meets country singer Gable Kincaid—and she finds herself wondering if wanderlust is a bit overrated…Seeking refuge from fame and a painful past, Gable finds Brooke is just the balm he needs. But as they’re pulled down separate paths, will Brooke and Gable discover that, sometimes, home is a place found in each other?

Do you have any pets? Please tell us about them.

Catnip Smurfy a.k.a. Smurf Cat a.k.a. the Four Pawed Princess is my assistant. Her job is mainly to sleep and demand treats. She’s very good at both.

Do you use real or fictional locations in your stories? What kind of research do you do for the setting?

I use real and fictional settings. The Tillbridge Stables, Small Town Secrets, and Bishop Honey Bee Farm series are all set in a fictional town in Maryland. For my latest series, I had to research beekeeping and flower farming. It was interesting to learn how bees are essential to our planet in more ways than we realize.

CMCon Quickies:

Long weekend or extended stay vacation? Extended stay vacation. I’m a flight risk when I finally get away from home. I don’t want to come back so an extended vacation is a good compromise.
Vampire or shifter? Vampire. Sleep all day and come out at night sounds like the perfect plan, but I’m not too keen on the drinking blood part of the deal.
Duke or cowboy? Cowboy. Something about a man who knows how to wear a cowboy hat is sexy.
Beach or pool? Beach. Being close to the ocean revives me.
Trains, planes, or automobiles? Automobiles. I want to be in charge of my escape when the zombie apocalypse happens. Who wants to be stuck on a plane or a train with zombies while someone else is at the wheel/controls?

THANKS so much for playing along! Now let’s learn more about Nina’s upcoming book:

A Honey for the Beekeeper by Nina Crespo

She never stayed in one place for long…

Until she felt the sweet sting of love.

Brooke Bishop thrives on adventure, from skiing slopes to sailing yachts—anything to avoid her family’s bee farm. But when Brooke and her estranged sister inherit the farm, she’s stuck there until her sister can buy her out. And then Brooke meets country singer Gable Kincaid—and she finds herself wondering if wanderlust is a bit overrated…

Seeking refuge from fame and a painful past, Gable finds Brooke is just the balm he needs. As their budding attraction blossoms, the music industry he’s trying to avoid threatens to reclaim Gable. And Brooke would rather head out of town than feel the sting of that loss. As they’re pulled down separate paths, will Brooke and Gable discover that, sometimes, home is a place found in each other?
