Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.

Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!

I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.

Last Week (February 17 – February 23, 2025):

Game Night at CMCon25. I loved hanging out with long-time friends and making new ones!

Monday was a holiday and I drove my daughter back to school. She was feeling mostly better (no fever), and ready to head back. I had a very busy Tuesday and Wednesday with work. Wednesday was a big event, and although there was low attendance, it went really well. Thursday I was up and out early for my 8:00AM flight to Daytona Beach for Coastal Magic Con! I was a featured blogger, which means I helped set up events and moderated some awesome panels. If you are a book lover, I HIGHLY recommend attending CMCon. It’s a such a great atmosphere with awesome opportunities to interact with authors. It is so much fun. So that was my Thursday through Sunday. Since I didn’t head home until Monday, I missed my weekly weigh-in.

Weight: I wasn’t home for Monday’s weigh-in, but I did gain 2.6 pounds over the long weekend.

Goals: Well, between my busy schedule, stress, and travel… I did awful. But I’m really and truly okay with that. Right now, worrying about being “perfect” or making sure I do certain things is adding stress. So as long as I’m not overeating because of stress, I’ll be okay. At the con, even though I didn’t exercise, I was moving and on my feet all day. I did close my “active calorie” ring every day I was there. I’m giving myself some grace and time to get my head in order, and then I’ll start again. My first goal will be to track my food again now that I’m home.

Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!

Goals:

  • Close all three “rings” in Apple Watch, 5 days per week. – 1/5 days
  • Move with purpose (exercise) at least 30 minutes, 5 days per week. – 0/5 days
  • Stretch for 10 minutes 5 days per week. – 0/5 days
  • Track food/calories 7 days per week. – 2/7 days
  • Limit alcohol intake to 2 days per week. – 4 days

During 2025 I plan:

  • To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
  • To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
  • To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit?
