Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.

Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!

I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.

Last Week (June 9 – June 15, 2025):

The weather is finally a little bit better and I got in five walks last week. My husband was traveling for work, and the kids and I had a pretty quiet week. We went to a graduation party on Saturday and celebrated Father’s Day with my in-laws on Sunday.

Weight: I was down 0.4 pounds last week.

Goals: So last week I really cut back my goals to walking and no alcohol. I am happy to report I was successful. I also continued to stretch after walks, but no yoga. That’s OKAY! I didn’t track food, but tried to be mindful about how much I was eating.

My goals for the week of June 16th are: Walk/move for 4 days and no alcohol.

Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!

Goals for last week:

    • Walk/Move 30 minutes, 4 days per week– 5/3 days
    • Limit alcohol intake to 0 days per week. – 0 days

During 2025 I plan:

  • To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
  • To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
  • To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
So are you ready to lace up your sneakers? Are you ready to up your commit to fit?
