Welcome to #FitReaders2025!! Felicia and I are excited to co-host this fitness-oriented group. If you have any questions about #FitReaders, you can leave them in the comment section or email me at twimom227(at)gmail(dot)com.
Most of our support is done via our Facebook Group. I post my weekly check-ins on Fridays, as it helps me be accountable. You are welcome to do your own check-in posts, check in below, in the comments, or check in with the Facebook group – whatever works for you!
I check in here every Friday, but my fitness week is Monday – Sunday. So my check-ins are always about a week behind.
Last Week (July 7 – July 13, 2025):
This will be a quick one, as I forgot to schedule my post for today! Last week was good. We were still on vacation in Michigan until Wednesday July 2nd, and we got home nearly at midnight due to delays. I did laundry and got my hair done on Thursday. Friday I worked all day. I had a HS graduation party and a 40th bday party to attend on Saturday. Sunday my friend and I had tickets to see the Back to the Future Musical in Boston.
Weight: I was down 1.2 pounds last week.
Goals: Even though I haven’t done anything fitness oriented, just being home and back in a more normal routine helped. I lost most of the vacation weight. I did get in some walks before we left and once after we returned.
Goals for next week: Now that I’m back, I need to find a motivation to tackle my weight gain. I’m 20+ pounds overweight. I’d like to lose at least 10. But I can’t seem to stick with any kind of fitness or dietary routine. My goals for this first week back will be to exercise/move for 3 days, track food for 3 days, limit alcohol to 2 days.
Don’t forget to join the Facebook Group and check in with us there!
Goals for last week:
-
- Walk/Move 30 minutes, as much as I can – I walked 3 days and closed my rings 5 days.
During 2025 I plan:
- To maintain or be less than my January 1st, 2024 weight. I will do with through exercise and making adjustments to my caloric intake. I don’t have to be perfect, but I do need to make a true effort.
- To move. I will do this primarily via walking, four to seven days per week. I also need to stretch most/all of the days I exercise.
- To remain an active member of FitReaders and support my fellow members. I will do this by actively participating in the FitReader Facebook Group and continuing to share my journey with my weekly check-in on the blog.
